The Philosopher's stone is a mythical rock made from the transmutation of gold, silver and mercury. The stone supposedly holds the power to heal all injuries and sicknesses of the human body and transmutate any base metal (a metal that is not gold or slver) into any noble metal (gold and silver).

Historically, there is only one person who has succesfully created a philosopher's stone, his name was Nicolas Flamel.

to create a Philosopher's stone, you have to go through a process known as The Great Works. The steps of this are: 1. calcination, 2. congelation, 3. fixation, 4. solution, 5. digestion, 6. distilation, 7. sublimation, 8. seperation, 9. ceration, 10. fermentation, 11. multiplication and 12. projection.

calcination= heating in air

congelation=the conversition of a thin, flowing liquid into a thick liquid, often done with heat

fixation=the making of a volatile element into a non volatile element that is un-afected by fire

The Three ingredients that are common to all attempts by Alchemists are slver, quicksilver and gold. The majority of reported attempts have been with the use of sulphur as well. prcise amounts and true ingredients to making this, only Flammel knew.

Historically, there are zero people who have succesfully created a philosopher's stone, and there is no evidence that such a stone has ever or will ever exist. Any philosopher's stone that could turn base metals into gold would necessarily involve nuclear reactions and any gold produced would likely be radioactive!

That is correct, this is only reported to be true because a person about 100 years after Flamel's reported death came forward in a bar and proclaimed himself to be Flamel.  (The Philosopher's stone can also prolong life).

all of you want someone to just give you a secret that we who have dedicated our lives to studying alchemy modern and ancient just expect us to give you the answer? What good would the stone serve or the knowledge or power if these secrets were to fall in the hands of evil people. Unfortunatly they already have but there is also good out there. Keep trying study from the basics and advance as you understand. Only you yourself can unlock this secret. Its like a rubics cube but with time and dedication and research you can create one. and the effects and abilities are amazing.

Have you ever heard of the ''The book of Aquarius''? Or has anyone for that matter know the existance of that book? If not you can read it online. Highly recommended by me and other Alchemist's. The missing ingredients of the stone have been found by the ghost author. I am actually in the process of makeing a stone. I hope that all will take this book seriously and use it for the common good or for persinal benifets.

Some of the process of the stones creation seems "from my point of view" to be moving energies , planetary in link with elemental. color & material liquid or solid too absorb those energies . Could this be a part of the stone ? Hmm guess I should brush up on the moving of energies .

Add Paracelsus and the Count of St. Germain alongside Flammel... And everyone asking about materials, quantities etc, first go learn some chemistry (contact with quicksilver can be lethal, let alone mixing it with sulphur and heating it into an amalgamation), and then try to upgrade your mental capacity; how on earth a centuries old mixture/procedure would be up here for everyone to see??

Philosopher 's Stone is one chemical item whose recipe has been inavertedly lost. Greek Fire anyone? The "liquid fire" of the Byzantines which worked wonders in naval combat or in rare occasions on land? Even if you pay a fortune, those things are lost forever. The only ones to blame are those who burned the library of Alexandria and the inquisitors of old, who burnt down 90% of such books (herbs, alchemy) while confiscating others.
